BCHAR

BCHAR is a Swiss biochar technology company. Its founders met at ETH Zurich, developed their first pyrolysis reactor there and then took it into the field, commissioning their first production system in Thailand on coconut husks. The technology is Swiss; the biochar is made where the biomass is. BCHAR now supplies turn-key pyrolysis systems in four sizes, from pilot units to industrial modules, to operators who install them alongside the agricultural residues they process. Around the hardware it runs remote monitoring, maintenance planning and the measurement, reporting and verification work that certification requires, and it commercialises the resulting carbon removal credits under various carbon standards for corporate buyers.
