Terra takes roles in regenerative agriculture firms in the East and West
Terra has taken on roles supporting three regenerative agriculture companies spanning Asia and Latin America: HUSK, Sow&Reap and Ruuts.
Biochar-based fertilisers
HUSK develops, manufactures and markets biochar-based products for farmers in South East Asia. The company was founded in Barcelona, began operating in Cambodia in 2019 and added Vietnam in 2024, with offices in Singapore and Spain. It diverts rice husk, a milling residue that is normally burned in the open, into biochar through a smokeless pyrolysis process, installed inside a rice mill. The range runs from biochar as a soil and compost enhancer to a seedling substrate, a granulated biofertiliser and a foliar crop protection spray, all intended to hold moisture and nutrients in degraded tropical soils. HUSK also issues EBC C-Sink certified carbon removal credits, which help keep the fertilisers affordable for smallholders.
