Terra takes roles in regenerative agriculture firms in the East and West
Terra has taken on roles supporting three regenerative agriculture companies spanning Asia and Latin America: HUSK, Sow&Reap and Ruuts.
Regenerative agriculture
Ruuts works with livestock farmers across Latin America to move grazing land from conventional to regenerative management and engage in revegetation practices. Based in Argentina, it runs programmes in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Brazil that span Patagonian rangeland and the Brazilian Cerrado, with more than a million hectares in transition. Farmers are supported by a field network of agronomists and technicians and by a training programme, the Regeneration School, while a digital platform collects farm data. Soil sampling and recognised models, including the Verra VM0042 and VM0047 methodologies, are used to estimate carbon capture and to track soil and biodiversity outcomes over time. The verified results are sold as carbon credits or used by companies to reduce supply chain emissions, and farmers are paid for them.
